Kickraux – Harriet Thugman – Interview coming soon!

I am in touch with the dope duo Kickraux (check out their website, it’s sick) for an upcoming interview. Understandably, the guys are too busy for a phone/video interview. But the text interview will still be a great read – and I am pumped for it. This is a sample preview post to get you guys amped up for it.

Why should you be so amped up? Because Kickraux are some up and comers who have already worked with artists like 2Chainz, Ree$e, and more. Harriet Thugman, their new EP, is free to download and it is so dope. It focuses on trap, but also brings in some house, electro, and chillstep to constantly keep the feel different. I can honestly say that there is not a bad track, in my opinion, on the 17 track, 55min EP. Enjoy it all here – and get pumped for the interview. I know I am.

PS- their album artwork is so sick.

Dirty South – Your Heart ft. Joe Gil

Guys this song is amazing. I know it is rare for me to post on the weekends, and I didn’t post at all yesterday since I was off at a show, but this was worth getting on to post. It’s so relaxing, light, and just makes me smile. Ya bro, I can feel the love.

MORNING BREW: Subfocus will make you happy.

Subfocus is an English music producer who started as early as 2003. What I want YOU to wake up to though is his most recent stuff. First we’ve got his new(ish) track with Alex Clare and it is something I didn’t originally intend to feature, but discovered along the way and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to tell people about it. Look at the music video. So intense.

This one is a bit older, but I have been wanting to share it with as many people as possible ever since I first heard it around last fall.

Have a great day and do something with your life.

Have Some Chillstep: Rihanna – Stay (Branchez Bootleg)

Sure, a trap youtube channel posted this. And sure, Branchez is known for his more trap/heavier stuff. But this song is not that. This song is chill, relaxing, and calming. The original track is good. But man does this bootleg by Branchez really do the trick. The first thing you notice is that he cuts out the male voice – Mikky Etto, and some of Rihanna’s part.

This makes it so that the song isn’t necessarily about the story or the conversation between the male and female parts anymore –  but then again why would Branchez want it to be? He obviously and rightly wants you to focus on his remix of it. And once you hear it, that’s all you can focus on anyways. He takes the beat and softens it. Makes me feel like i can’t live without it. <—- see what I did there? I’m not funny.

Anyways, if you’re having a bad day, if you’re pissed off, if you just want to mellow out – close your eyes and listen. Have a good day, fuckboys.
