KlaP Ur Azz – Tropkillaz ft. Lloyd Popp & KoOoL Kojak

Brand new trapped out banger from Tropkillaz.  After killing it on a collab with one of my favorite artists, D!RTY AUD!O, the Brazilian bass gods are back with another track that is sure to get any dance floor real weird real fast.

Love Is All I Got (Luke the Knife Remix) – Feed Me and Crystal Fighters

I hate to post anything by Feed Me now that he’s hanging up the decks but I’m in love with this remix by none other than Luke the Knife of Lotus.  This remix really gives an already amazing track a completely new feel that I can’t get enough of.

Lotus is slowly becoming one of my favorite bands and every member has at least one awesome side project, I got the chance to see three of the side projects at Electric Forest 2013 and was not disappointed.  Beard of Bees and Suckerpunch were both amazing but something about Luke the Knife’s set really did it for me.  He kept a funky nu-disco vibe going the whole time and had his little stage raging hard.

Artist Feature: FIGURE + FigureMixture by XLS

For my inaugural post I decided to do a feature on my longtime favorite artist Josh Gard A.K.A. FIGURE.  An Illinois native, FIGURE has been making dance music for years. I first heard of FIGURE when he came onto the scene with remixes like his Dark Fantasy bootleg and his Take Care of Me Remix, soon after I owned almost every track he had made.

The man knows how to make damn good Drumstep/Dubstep and has managed to retain the sound I fell in love with when I first started listening to him years ago while still continuing to innovate.  His wobbles couldn’t be any wobblier and his knack for choosing amazing samples will keep you wanting more.

With summer winding down and fall fast approaching you couldn’t pick a better time to start listening to FIGURE. I’m giddy just thinking about Monsters Vol. 4, the 4th iteration of a series of monster and horror inspired albums that he releases right around Halloween each year.

In addition to this writeup I’m including a mix of mostly FIGURE tracks that I’ve been waiting way too long to do.  This mix really showcases how diverse FIGURE’s sound can be but somehow you still always know when it’s one of his tunes. Enjoy the mix and if you like his sound be sure to check out his Soundcloud and “like” him on Facebook to keep up to date with his music and tour dates.  You can also grab his most recent track “Perfect Timing (The Stick Up)” for free on Thissongissick.
